COMMITTING TO NET CARBON ZERO

We have been working closely with Planet Mark, and its ZeroBy30 programme, to enable us to become net carbon zero by 2030, an ambitious target and one of the flagship commitments in our sustainability strategy. We have made significant developments against our roadmap to move to a carbon neutral manufacturing process. We were pleased to receive our Planet Mark Year 5 certification earlier this year, for the financial year ended 31 January 2023, which marked the fifth financial year that the sustainability of our business has been measured by Planet Mark, the sustainability certification organisation.

   PLANET MARK CERTIFIED

Sixth consecutive Planet Mark certification achieved. (Certificate and Report)​ We achieved a 10.4% reduction in CO2 emissions for FY2024 and contribute to 9 UN Sustainable Development Goals. We offer 100% renewable electricity used across all sites and have reduced energy bills and cost savings by switching to LED lighting. Electricity consumption has been reduced by 11% across the business. (for FY24) and natural gas consumption reduced by 12%. (for FY24)

OUR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

By reducing our carbon footprint, we are addressing nine of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs reflect an understanding that sustainable development everywhere must integrate economic growth, social well-being and environmental protection.
